Archives For Question

I saw an interesting post from the guys at Slant 33 entitled, “How do you know when it’s time to consider moving on from a youth ministry role?”  I was a very good post that I think many youth ministers will benefit from but I wanted to take a spin on that and ask you something for us to dialogue once again: “When do you know you should leave the church you are at?”  I am framing the question from the perspective of the church at-large and not simply the staff.  I do not advocate people leaving the church just because they do not like the preacher or because the song service was not that great, etc.  However, there are some churches that are so emotionally charged (I had one professor call these churches “pill churches”) that the only thing one can do is leave the church.  So I would like to ask you and look for some more dialogue.

“When do you know you should leave the church you are at?”
